This is the first time I've ever rigged anything, and I'm loving it. The assignment was to rig the legs and torso and do a "simple" animation of all the parts moving.... but I got a little carried away.
For Editing Techniques we were assigned to make an animatic. These are frames from my Star Wars fan comic that I've been considering turning into a full animation. I probably won't stick with this story line, but I think it came out well.

A Thomas Eakins Study/Parody



I've been studied American modernist Thomas Eakins' work recently, specifically his later piece "The Agnew Clinic". He was obsessed with the human form and perspective. It gives his paintings a powerful realistic feel, so I thought I'd try to mimic him, but the overpowering nerd inside me turned it into something Star Wars-ish.
